If you look at the people of last generation, that is, people who are at the group of above 40 years, we can find people with thick hair. If we take a survey, we might find that the number of people, who lost their hair at the age of 40, will be equal to the number of people who are losing their hair at the age of 20 at present. There are various social reasons behind this fact. The last generation people had a healthier lifestyle when compared to the people of current generation. Also the environmental pollution is a major factor which contributes to the hair loss of youngsters.

Last week my friend was suffering from severe headache. We tried hard to make her feel comfortable. But we were not able to do anything about it. We went to a doctor and the doctor gave her some physical treatment, after which her pain subsided. But what was the reason for this sudden head ache? While enquiring her, the doctor identified the reason. She had skipped her breakfast that day. You may tend to miss your breakfast due to many reasons. But you need to understand the fact that missing breakfast will affect the regular body mechanisms. Our stomach will be expecting some food. So it will be secreting the acid to digest the food. Hence if we skip a meal the acid will react with the sensitive walls of our stomach. This might lead to various defects in our body.

I have already written some articles which stresses the importance of sleep. One night I went to bed at 10 pm. The next morning when I woke up, it was 6 am, but I did not feel fresh. I could see lots of swellings on my hands and legs. Many of you would have experienced this. Whenever I experience this, I would think that mosquito bites are the reason for these swellings. Some how I tried and eliminated all the mosquitoes from my house and I went to bed happily, since I wont get irritated with these swellings anymore. The next morning when I woke up, I could again see these swellings on my hands. I was wondering what is happening in me during the night time. I discussed it with my friends and I came to know that bed bugs are the reason for my swellings. I asked one of my friends about the bed bugs and this is what I learnt. Bed bugs use to hide inside our beds and suck our blood while we are asleep. And we could not feel them sucking our blood. Then how to kill bed bugs? There are many bed bug terminators available in the market. Select the best one and ensure a peaceful night.

Have you ever been inside a closed air conditioned room, without the air conditioners being switched on? I have experienced this situation many times. But this is really dangerous. If you are inside a room like this, soon you are going to get depleted with oxygen supply, and faint any moment. And if you are busy with your work, you will not even realize that your body is struggling without enough oxygen.  The effect of this, may even last for the next three to four days. You will feel extreme tiredness. But you will never be able to identify the reason for your tiredness. So it is recommended not to be inside a room which has no ventilation.

Do you know what is the basic need for life to exist in our planet? The first answer that comes to our mind is water. But the most important factor for the world’s survival is the existence of micro organisms. Micro organisms are everywhere around us. The air we breathe in, the food we eat, the water we drink and everything that we use for our existence. The Most amazing fact is that, the number of micro organisms in a human hand is more than the total number of people in the entire world. Depending upon their characteristics the micro organisms are named as bacteria, fungi, viruses and so on. While speaking about the micro organisms, a movie titled “The war of the worlds” flashes in my mind. According to this movie, aliens invade our earth and starts demolishing everything, with the intent of destroying the human race. We couldn’t destroy these machines even with the most advanced weapon technology. When we have lost all our hope, the aliens start dying one by one. At the end of the movie it is said that, even though the aliens can withstand the attack of heavy weapons, they couldn’t withstand the attack of the minute organisms that are present in the earth’s atmosphere. This is just a fiction. But such is the importance of micro organisms in the survival of our planet.

In today’s world, people are not taking much care on their health. We are tend to run for money, and in the process, we lose our precious health and spend all the money earned, for our own treatment. We must register in our minds that, only if we are healthy enough, we could enjoy our life on the long run. Some people who realizes this fact, subscribes to various health and fitness programs in order to ensure their fitness. Power 90 Extreme (P90x) is a famous 90 days fitness program developed by Tony Horton. Like other fitness programs around the world, this program also consists of physical exercises and a p90x nutrition diet. This diet plan has to be strictly followed in order to derive effective results from the fitness program. But, most of the people, find it difficult to stick up to the p90x recipe meals. For those people, it is recommended to identify the nutrition content in those recipe meals, so that they could find out an alternate diet which has similar nutrition content. But make sure that you do not exceed the amount of nutrition as prescribed in the fitness program. Because an optimal diet is what is the  secret for maintaining a healthy life style.

Do you get frightened often? We would have come across lots of people in our life, who gets frightened unnecessarily. And usually we will make fun of those people and will try to frighten them more and more. Is this a good practice? Frightening those people may be seen as an entertainment at that instant. But this may lead to worse outcomes. Actually fear of something, is just a weakness. So by frightening them, we are making them weaker and weaker. And the worst case is that, it might lead to heart attack. So please do not make fun of those people who always fear for something. Instead, try to be supportive.

Do you work hard? I have seen many people in my organization, who works for an average of 16 hours a day. Sometimes, they work for two days at a stretch taking less amount of food. Will this hard work help you? It might help you just for some years and it work for the long run. Every human body will get adapted to a certain routine. If we try to break that routine, our body is in danger. So it is always important to eat at regular time intervals and to practice some physical exercises everyday. And the most important thing is, we should sleep at least 7 hours a day.

The term flossing is rarely heard in India, although dentists recommend that flossing is as essential as brushing the teeth. Flossing means cleaning up the spaces between the teeth with a special thread. The food we eat gets stuck up in the spaces between the teeth. The bristles of the brush cannot reach these spaces. If food is allowed to remain there it will lead to various gum diseases, plaque and bad breath. So to keep the gums and teeth healthy and strong it is necessary to floss the teeth everyday, especially at night.

How to floss:

Step 1: Take about 50 cm of the floss thread and wrap it around both your middle fingers. Wrap more around any one finger than another. Leave around 5 cm of floss in between.

Step 2: Slide the floss in the spaces between your teeth using your thumbs and index finger. Do not use the floss on your gums as it will lead to bleeding.

Step 3: Shape the floss into a curve and slide it up and down against the sides of your teeth up to the gums. Use a new section of the floss as you move from one tooth to another. Discard the floss after you finish.

You might find it a little tiring at first, but flossing should be done regularly. Although India has not yet opened to flossing, good quality floss is now available in most medical stores. Floss regularly and you will have a healthy and strong teeth and gums.

This is just a personal experience regarding my physical fitness. For the past one year, I started feeling tired very often. If I sit in front of computer for more than two hours, I felt dizzy. I was thinking that, this is just because of my work pressure. But after some days, I got irritated to be feeling tired all the time and not being able to do any physical work. Then I thought, this may happen due to the lack of physical work. From the next morning I started going for a walk, even before sunrise and followed it up with very simple exercises. And in 10 days I saw a dramatic change within my body. I started feeling energetic through out the day. But if I fail to go for a walk, that day I feel a bit lazy. Walking is the best exercise, even to reduce weight.
